the problem is to see in all part of the battle. For example, each player finished their first naval unit : a destro at the same time and go for battle. The destro sera will win and start to kill the sea factory of his opponent. Giving time to build more destro for sera and put mass in counter for his adversary. If you give more power to sera destro this will be more difficult for the adversary of sera. The lack of unit in sera army makes the balanced a hard work.

This replay shows that the Sera Destroyer doesn't suck at fighting other destroyers. It's far from the best though.
And it doesn't show that the Sera Destroyer is not as good at attacking land as other Destroyers.

It's not so much that Sera Destroyers are bad, that's not true. The problem is that it's not good enough to make up for the lack of Seraphim capacity during T2 navy stage of the game.(It also doesn't show that Sera has the worst t2 hover tank and torp bomber).

If you compare the situation to land units, Seraphim have the Ilshavoh, higher HP bot with high DPS that balance the lack of mobile shield or mobile stealth and long range unit like hoplite. In their T2 navy, they just have a decent destroyer and a decent Cruiser, period. That's why they lack "something" at t2 navy (and skipping to t3 is not easy to do). Their Destroyer should be better in some way to balance the fact that Seraphim have less options. That's how they were designed.

That isnt the fault of the Seraphim Destroyer though, that is a bug with the Aeon Destroyer's guns.

How do you keep the Seraphim Destroyer out of water?

FunkOff, i have made a few test and sra destro wins against cybran and uef destro when submerged and loose against aeon destro without micromanagement. And with micromanagement you could keep your destro out of water you win against all. If you want we could test it.

Exactly, have you tested it ? cause it's just not true. IT gets even more owned when submerged. It is still a nice option when the opponent has shitloads of frigates for instance.

Actually, when submerged, the seraphim destroyer will lose against Aeon and Cybran destroyer, by a wide margin, because its anti-torp and it's torp weapons are poor. Similarly, the serpahim destroyer also loses on the surface. Go ahead, test it.

about the destroyer sera, it is the best one against other destroyer. You submerged it and shoot with torpedo on other destroyer. Sera will win, it is so easy. The sera destroyer is not a destroyer it is a super sub. But it is true that 's sera is a race with very good and bad points, hard to balanced. the worst is the absence of t3 gunship.
