Yeah, this isn't just in the stats though. Or at least, it's not in the main DPS/hp stats. I haven't spent enough time testing them to figure out the cause(s), but I've tested the Janus, Notha, and Cooper vs T1 ints and against each other. As air-to-air goes, the Janus is way better for some reason(s)..

Anyway, I do think the F/Bs need some attention because I'd like to see them used more.
However, it seems like there are a decent number of people that think the T2 gunships need a nerf, so I'd be inclined to nerf them first before addressing the F/Bs. And, when it comes to buffing the F/Bs, I think the single best option would be a nerf to T2 mobile flak (since it devastates them horribly and that, in turn, makes them a riskier investment).

The problem is, nerfing T2 mobile flak is tricky because it's a key unit for land vs air balance.

Likewise, simple buffs to the T2 fighter-bombers could be overpowering if increased HP makes them too good vs T1 ints or air-to-ground DPS buffs make them too deadly. The Janus is already a pretty devastating bomber..

T2 bombers always get at least one shot off against whatever they are attacking. For Seraphim, that means a guarantee of at least 1200 damage. Contrast that to gunships, which does DPS slowly over time. For a gunship, at 60 DPS, to do the same damage as one FB will do in a single bomb, it has to stay alive shooting the target for AT LEAST 20 seconds. Under adverse conditions (IE flak) it's rare for a gunship to last even 5 seconds.

I like the diversity... gunships are better when the enemy only has tech 1 AA and fighter bombers are better when the enemy has flak.

Story goes like this:

Gunships:
-only half the price
.same DPS, same HP
-dont need to fly circles.

Fighterbomber have

-sucky AA abilitys (better off with 8 t1 interceptors)
-problems dropping bombs against moving targets (corsair spared from this problem thx to shooting rockets)
-take 20 seconds longer to build
-stupid flying

Either buff them to make them worth their cost, or nerf gunships so they dont outperform fighterbomber in every perspective.
