I love the shield stacking fix/variation, nicely thought out. I have a query however. I believe this affects ALL bubble shields? While I think that is right for Mobile Shield Generators, does this not affect the balance of other bubbles quite significantly, and not in a positive way? The Fatboy, for instance, and also the UEF ACU and sACU. Stopping shield stacking is admirable, but if possible I would exclude those units with extremely high cost shields, as they cannot be stacked, and as they are on higher value targets. I don't think an ACU should be penalised just because it retreated under the base shields to escape death in a Strategic Bomber snipe with increased regeneration time.

How about lowering the arc a bit instead then? think its a good idea? these + walls would own aouras.

The medusa uses a high-arch trajectory, so you'd probably prefer that the projectile speed be decreased, rather than increased. A higher projectile speed would mean that it takes even longer after firing for the projectile to hit the target than it does now.

I think not allowing commander to build air facs will fix early bommber rush better than taking away its radar. You should still be able to use T1 bommbers to kill aouras or bunched up engineers slightly later game but before intie swarms come out. Once they do bommbers are almost useless

Another thing is could you increase the medusa projectile speed? ITs already by far the worst T1 arty in all situations so prehaps make it slightly more usefull by making it harder to dodge and better vs tanks.

on small maps u could be right arma, but on large maps sera has a disadvantage because of the destroyers. for example on setons ( ) if the side player spams t1 fighters, frigates and destroyers - lets say he is cybran. what can the sera play do vs it?
sera destroyer loses vs cybran submerged - surfaced it loses vs cybran because of range disadvantage and because every 7th shoot of sera destroyer is a waste of time and dmg coz it doenst hit.
try droping t1 arty? get pwned by frigates and t1 fighters.

on small maps like eots, paradise, high noon u may be right (because there are maybe just 2-3 destroyers out) - but on maps where massive navy fights are normal, sera has a hard time to survive.

artys spam pwn, only with one or 2 artys that arrive at enemy navy fact pawn all engies, and frigates cant be spammed so easy, you can do t2 gunships that pwn frigates and all sea units, you can use too some t1 bombers for kill enemy engies on sea facts, sera have the highest splash bombers, the thing is use the advantage of the faction dont say omg i cant attack cause he have that unit so powerful

titans sucks, cyb dont have shields, and aeon mmm... nothing to say about aeon lol

Friates with basic micro own arty. Exodus class destoyer wins vs sera suberged or not. Aeon got hover flack as well + hover sheilds at T2 and also the best torpedo bommber and Sera one sucks hard in comparison. Aeon also got swift wind and that kills ints quite effectivley. The aeon cruiser can actualy hit T3 air with all its 800 dps unlike sera that only does around 300 dps against T3 air.

Sera T3 subs are good but are killeD cost effectivley by T2 ones and UEF torpedo boat.

If you reduce the Destroyer's range to 50, it won't be able to outrange T2 PDs anymore. I think that's a very bad idea.

with short range u need even more micro than with a large because u have to move away to be out of range but not too far to be close enough to still hit the targets. with shorter range this gap is even more narrow which means more micro. and u miss the advantage to attack those hover forces sooner.

Surprisingly not, thats propably the only thing where the sera destroyer does not suck beyond believe. Through its beam weapons, it does nearly none overkill and hits almost always (unless beam bug or the the turret turns while shoting and the beam goes all over the place...). The smaller range is not really a problem against hovers, since its still much faster and you dont need a micro like Isen to handle it.

Against a full hover army I would prefer the sera destroyer above all else.

u can go the other way around - increase range, decrease dps. i think a destroyer with just 50 range is a no go. he has to fear even hover units like auroas or fobos.

The Sera Destroyer does have some nice advantages though. The beams benefit from pinpoint accuracy on the open sea, and the ability to submerge has some nice potential and it can give the Uashavoh the edge in some engagements (e.g., vs UEF Valiants).

I definitely agree that the Ushavoh has been underpowered in 3599, but even then it could stand up fairly well to the other Destros with the right micro, so I think it makes some sense to focus on buffing/fixing other parts of the Seraphim arsenal first. (It does need to be able to T1 subs for cost though..)

I've also experimented with giving the Ushavoh one close-in beam that paired higher DPS with shorter range (45-50). The idea was to emphasize the Ushavoh's submersible advantage and turn it into more of an 'ambush' predator that has to approach other ships submerged, then surface in close range to unleash its superior DPS.

This was tricky to balance though. I didn't want to give it too much of a DPS buff at range 60 because I was worried about making it OP'd, but my idea to give it the close-in advantage was tough too because the Exodus and Salem have such a big advantage in torpedo DPS and torp defense (respectively).
