Hi,

This nomad loading screen is nice. It is proper widescreen.

Any chance you will redo the original 4 faction loading screens, in widescreen? They are all 4:3 movies so they look stretched in game.

I have made a request to improve the loading screens here. viewtopic.php?f=41&t=10921

You mean the SFD videos used in supcom? They're basically MPEG videos, VLC plays them fine for me. There's no sound and you're right, she sound is a separate file.

Just wondering, but is there a way to play those .kfm files outside the game? I guess they're pretty similar to video game kfm files, but when I use the converter (PES video converter) I downloaded the files seem to lack sound and be buggy. Or is this just because the sound files are separate?

I liked the nude man loading screen too, just for the lolz. Would've been funnier if it were the Vitruvian man.

due the unwillingness of my PC to render this directly into sfd, or with a normal quality to mpeg1, i uploaded the .wmv and the mpeg1 file at a filehostingpage

the current error message of the sfd creator is: "Can not get a frame data from a material file. Encoding aborted" whatever this means....

No you need a special tool to convert a video to SFD. I haven't found a freeware version of such a tool but I did manage to find something that allows me to make SFD files. I'm not sure it's legal or not (took me a long time to find on some shady website) so I won't be sharing it. The input is MPEG 1 with some specific settings (took me a long time to figure that out aswell).

By the way, this video is basically a concept, not the final video.
