personally, I think that the double/triple bomb is an abuse of the bomber (because the developers didn't intend that it be used this way) that further strengthens first bomber--which some people already think is too strong.

Yeah I really really really hate FAF, I played >400 matches to demonstrate that.

V you got this totally wrong, Double/Triple-Bomb is a valueable micro aspect of fa! Imagine how boring fa would be without it!

By the way, zep was so kind to list some more cool micro tricks in this thread, it would be nice if somebody would write How-Tos to them too.

Best example of triple bombing I have seen is Curry_Smuggler’s control of the Seraphim Sinnve, it is a bit unbelievable considering the unit database says the reload time is two seconds, I will have to find the replay to see if it was four whole seconds between the bomber’s first and last release, I thought it was less in the game.

triple bomb? never heard and never seen.

but I managed to double bomb with starts (which is practically impossible in a real game tho)

As soon as the first bomb drops, you need to issue a move order right in front of your bomber, wait a moment, then issue an attack order. Watch replays of people who micro bombers and hold shift to see how they control it.

This is very difficult to pull off, however, and requires your full, undivided attention to micro it. And even I can't reliably triple bomb.

Whilst there is a loop-hole with the bomber which is being exploited as double and triple bombing and there are players out there that are willing to share their knowledge to raise other players skill levels, please could someone let we know how to effectively triple bomb (for those that have not seen it, it is the ability to micro a bomber so that it releases three drops on a target on one pass by slowing the bomber down, I have seen how effective this can be early on when a bomber first strike destroyed my pattern’s three PGens in one pass)?

I have tried hitting the ‘S’ key (stop order) after my Scorcher did its first drop and then assigned the target again which didn’t work, I have a feeling it is something to do with issuing a move order but I don’t know where to click the order to get the bomber to effectively stop. Any advice
