Some maps are more refined than others, haven for example, in my opinion is broken. One must go bomber first to have any chance so you can bomb the oppositions reclaim.

It would be simple to lower the mass value of those little cars from the hundreds that they are now to 5 or 10 apiece....

OT: is it possible make (as in GPGnet) options for "my favorite" and "my hated" map?
Apologize for devastating english language, hope you will understand me.

We often try to compare our situation to Starcraft one : But on the starcraft ladder, maps are never perfect on the first time. They often have to modify some cliffs, or little settings to make the map optimised for the gameplay.
Wouldn't it be possible just to move, or withdraw this little reclaims, if it can make the map more interesting?

And i suppose you wanted to say moonlight instead of moonshine?!moonshine is the biggest joke ever imo.
Finally i agree about the quality of Open Palms.

Theta has long established itself as the defacto standard for micro but moonshine has proudly taken the torch and possibly has better gameplay.

Build orders go to 1 Fac 2 pgens 2 Mex and from there on out its open most of the times, maybe have a plan what you want to do (4Fac +tec is my new fav). At least thats how i play and i know Zock plays.

OP is imo one of the best SupCom maps that features alot of what makes Supcom fun to play (macro and unit positioning) and also neglects the OPnes of some units by allowing to tech quite easily to get the proper respond.

If you think about canis: would be great map if auroras couldnt hover over the water.

The less OPnes a faction get from a map the better. EotS for instance just asks to be played with seraphim. Canis and Finns are Aeonplayground. Haven is pretty hard to play as UEF and Cyb vs Aeon. I think you get the point.

I've heard talk about how Starcraft competitive maps in korean esport leagues were incredibly finely tuned masterpieces of gameplay and stuff. (were korean esport SC maps fan-made or official?)

Do people have an understanding on what makes a good competitive map in SCFA, and how do the original official maps stack up to that standard? Are there any fan-made maps that really hit the sweet spot?

Every 3 months, a new pool will be done and 4 maps (2 vanilla, 2 customs) will be changed. The maps introduced by the previous pool will not be changed.

The vanilla maps are currently :
Theta Passage
Ranaoke Abyss
Blasted Rock
