Yeah it turns out it was something else (really really good teamwork and a random RAS upgrade). I just came back from a long hiatus so I thought you could still do this and assumed early RAS + crazy jumps in the energy scoreboard = the upgrade cheat.

Thanks for the concern though I love how involved FAF is. You guys can delete this now if ya want

The diamond mod is fixing it because it was fixed in 3603. And we are using that patch as a base too.

It must be something else, post the replay.

Post the replay. This bug has been fixed a long time ago and never seen anyone using it so far:/

I hope you didn't mistake someone PAUSING his upgrade and assisting with engies instead for a cheat

I just played a seton's game where a guy clearly used it and had the best economy and strongest airforce despite having a player literally funded extra cash to eco on our team. Checked the replay just to make sure and sure enough he had the random spike you get from a RAS upgrade at the very start.

I don't actually care about the individual in question, if they have fun trolling/exploiting bugs so be it. "hate the game not the player"

The reason I bring it up is because apparently this bug CAN be fixed, since it's fixed on the Diamond mod (according to its changelog): ''prevent ACU Upgrade to be acquired at a lower cost through cancelling --> prevents the using of the upgrade bug. 3603 fix. thx for help to Koecher"

Would it be possible for FAF to fix the bug in the same fashion as the Diamond mod?

Edit: I'm silly, just rewatched the replay (more closely) and his whole team synchronized to fund him while he tech'd t3 pgen and then RAS on top of that (legitimately). I use the hotscore mod so when I saw the chart showing him have crazy jumps it was indeed ras but also skipping t2 tech. I guess he's pretty pro, you can delete this thread .
