if you micro the boat in (or ground fire the uef frig from max range), it works fine

pressing attack on the pd the boat will come into range of the pd, probably because it needs time to decelerate or whatever

I am sorry LichKing this is incorrect, only aeon frigates can do since they have same range like other factions submarine guns. Therefore their subs dont have guns. In Datebase is written that frigates have 28 range and pd 26 but the model of frigates is to big. The pd is shooting back and you cant avoid it. Submarines and Aeon frigates can shoot out of range.

I hope people got the point what i wanted to tell with this:
-Aeon and Seraphim torpedo defense weapons work only good if you face your enemy

It means for example aeon tempest has so strong torpedo defense it can 0 the damage of 2 t3 sera submarines. If you turn it arround so enemy ships are behind it it hardly can stop a single torpedo. Same for their other ships. Sera works alike. Submarines for example of aeon can only use the torpedo defense if they are close to each other and standing with front in direction enemy means attacking. Once they turn arround and drive away they cant stop any torpedo damage anymore. Easy to stop are weapons with low ammountof torpedoes like destroyers and atlantis for example.

- MMLs are the turtle breaker and they overwhelm any TMD.
- T3 arty crushes T3 turtles that have ravagers. It also has splash so it will damage multiple shields if they overlap.
