Well if they had two MLs each with less than 8 k health and no intel, then I'd put my money on the com, shield or not.

Which is why I'm assuming moonlight had it. Without it, its impossible to beat 2 MLs (even damaged ones).

an extra 11 secs could help you get 3 oc's off, for damage of about 24000.

Thats half an ML by itself.

I'm assuming the heavy shield upgrade was constructed here, the standard gives you 29K HP, which is 7.25 seconds of time against a ML laser, whereas the heavy one gives 44K HP, which is 11 seconds of extra time against one ML laser.

In terms of mass, it's fairly cheap (just 6K) but the energy cost is huge (90K for the base, 1M for the heavy upgrade).

Additionally, you probably also had the range upgrade, which gives you a slight range advantage against the laser.

Then: how heavily damaged were they? How many OC shots did you need to kill both?

Heavily damaged Besides, the ACU upgrades aren't exactly cheap and you're risking losing the match by bringing the ACU into combat late-game.

Lets not forget how easily a shielded ACU can destroy a spider. I've destroyed two heavily damaged ML's with a single aeon ACU with shield upgrade.

On the ML thing: one important change from vanilla to FA hasn't been mentioned yet: A range increase of 50% (20 -> 30) for the main gun.
