Been getting annoyed with PubG lately as well, have we? ; )

What I am saying is that faf does not attract the best and being elitist in this game is hilariously retarded.

Plus there are lots of aspects of the game and the meta game of the rating system which fall apart when there are more than 4 players on a team.
It is funny how everyone blindly accepted that increasing the number of players supported in a single game was a good move. It doesn't get implemented by developers looking to sell there games, to actually make money from them, so why is it in FAF. There is clearly a good reason why they do not do it.

If players were really looking for as many as possible v as many as possible they would be playing Zero - K, that is completely free and supports up to 16 v 16, someone could easily make a dual gap for that and have 16 v 16 on it.

As Morax says 2v2 and 3v3 is really where this game shines.

Team games in general are just garbage. The real fun is in 1500+ 2v2 or 3v3 on many, many different maps...

It is not hard to make factories and play mantis simulator. Most pure team game players have zero clue about how to play navy, eco, air, or late game. Literally your prototypical team game player makes t1 spam into pd+gun, into t3 and exp. I see the biggest noobs on wonder, it is actually quite baffling that people take that map seriously at all. And wonder is like 5 chokepoints, if you want to play that map actually open then it needs to be 1v1 to retain any skill value and nothing more.

I only see good players either playing setons and some 1v1 nowadays. 1v1 has like a handful of top players; thomas hiatt, adjux(if he still plays), blodir, nexus, yudi, etc. And guess what most of those 1v1 players play setons. Generally, the skill base in faf, especially the depth of the 1v1 pool is weaker than any other rts I have ever seen because they target noobs instead of retaining skilled players.

Bennis was able to beat a top 1v1 player, nexus, and he doesn't even play 1v1 -- he is a pure setons player.

So the irony that complete shit players that I have played with are talking shit on other players at their same level is just hilarious. STFU LMAO

Are we starting to blame everything on the map now xD
It is a 12 player map. You might see 13 or even 14 players in one lobby, with that said, the game will not be launched with 13 players or more.

And currently more people are enjoing/getting fun out of dual gap than most other maps. Take seton. (Last 3000 games: setons played 200 times, dual gap 110 times) If you account for more players and and longer game times the net fun gotten out of dual gap is greater than the one from setons. So yes, Setons is probably strategically more challenging but that doesn't make it the better map. The definition of good is subjective. Therefore if you want an objective view you can just take the average and that makes DualGap by definition of FA's purpose a better map than setons (and currently all others). (I know this may offend some people ;) )

The problem I have with dual gap games is that they take away players from actually interesting maps. I will host a 4v4 hilly plateau game and barely anyone will join while the dual gap lobby sucks up like 16 players, enough to fill two setons games. I don't have anything against the people that enjoy it, I just find it irritating because it makes it harder for other people to play the maps they like.

It makes it harder for other people to play the maps they like, because other people play the maps they like, wich is dual gap .. wat ?

Otherwise you will just have infinite game ender spam as Freedomfighter already mentioned. Certainly isn't going to be great either way, but it would still be interesting to see how that would play out.
