I am not the voice of the nomads team, but the common consensus is that a very large amount of work needs to be done before there is even the slightest chance that it gets put into a ranked state.

Personally, I don't want to force user created content onto anyone if they don't want to, the only way I see nomads integration happening is with a very clear and telegraphed opt in system, where players can easily see where nomads is allowed, and then choose to join from there.

Of course, we want to make nomads so good you will want to say yes ;)

Hopefully ya'll are sticking with the firearms aesthetic of slightly reduced technology from before though.

I would love to provide any assistance I can. I've worked on balance stuff for them in the past with a couple of friends, I have experience in scripting and Blender 3D modeling. I've even published a little VR game so whatever I can do to pitch in....i shall surely lend you my cybran little grabby claws.

I don't know if anyone mentioned it but the last time I did balance testing their T3 Gunships were stupid good in the air game.

It's a bit laggy if you start he game with 10+ sim speed. :)
But i have played several AI games with Nomads now and the sim speed after 1 hour is the same as with the nomal FAF game.

After fixing the gfx stuff it should be ready to go :)
