Then you just sat too close to it. I've been using 30" 2560x1600 for 10+ years, but I have a deep desk... and behind that a shelf that holds the monitor(s). Note that I use 30" 16:10. 32" 16:9 is just junk; too wide and too low. But that summarizes the 99% of what is available now. Sadly. if my current screen dies I will replace it with a 43" 3840x2160 (16:9 sadly).

24" in 16:9 can only fully fit a portrait A4 sized document 1:1 when you hide everything else. A 24" 16:10 gives 28mm space beyond the portrait A4. The 30" comes close to showing an A3 sized document 1:1

I wish everything would move to 3:2. But sadly that is only seen on things like the MS Surface. So either a good screen with junk computer or good computer with junk screen...

Can you imagine my delight when I went from my Dell Inspiron 1500 with a 15.4 inch screen to a widescreen 24" monitor!? I think 22" or 24" is where it's at, after you go much bigger, you start having to move you're eyes or even head to see things on the screen.

Good monitors in square format are super expensive :/
Currently having a 1600*1200 as secondary wich is close enough I guess.

A friend of mine played on 2x50" monitors. We all had to turn our heads left, right, up, down to play.

Compared to GPU upgrades some do every 2-3 years a big screen isn't even that expensive.

god dammit y'all are all making me real jealous up in here. all I have is my one 1080p monitor, which is granted better than the 4:6th 1024p is used to have back when I started faf but damn do those setups look nice

Nice, now you need to plan goals to upgrade to 65" ultra wide ; )

Samsung QLED 9000 series with Freesync (uses GSYNC now!!)

It's an absolute blast replaying Witcher 3 on here and can't wait to see Cyberpunk 2077. It even plays fps and RTS well.... forged alliance looked amazing but it was a bit overwhelming haha.

EDIT: wait, only 2560x1080? Yug. Tryp 2560x1600; that's much nicer.

Or 3840x2160; that's a lot cheaper than 2560x1600

Can you recommend any ui mods for rearranging the interface? The resource bars were already tucked away so as to almost peripheral vision, but I managed. I fear that now, I will be missing them entirely unless I force myself to turn myhead slightly.
