The map isn't for ever in the ladder pool (3 months) and was also played in the imba cup without a drama.

Has anyone tried just waiting at the spawn? Let the opponent build a fac, reclaim it and the engie, then wait for them to head off before starting your naval fac. (or something like that)

Why do you have to make a naval yard? Why can't one player run for the coast straight away, maybe make a naval yard out of sight if the other player doesn't follow? These may be silly questions from somebody who doesn't understand the game as well as some, but reclaim imbalances aside this looks to me like a map that promotes emergent gameplay.

Please feel free to flame me if I'm making some noob mistakes here, but when I've played this map it has been interesting. The UEF drone start thing only seems to be relevant if the other player stays in the starting position. Is retreating really that unviable?

I saw on Uber's first replay how Chariot kept popping out of the water and reclaiming stuff, and that certainly crippled Uber enough to lose. The map is only unbalanced if a UEF drone is in play and good players are playing. Could there just be an agreement that drone within three minutes is considered an exploit?

i see only a few poeple crying like babys here cause there do-not-think-about-it-unitpam does not work in the first minute

even if 10 people complained here it is 10 vs 25 people (that care about it^^) you know what this is called in german? "Zweidrittelmehrheit" [two-thirds majority] you can use this in germany to change the basic laws of the country

It should use ladder rules and allow air, so it's probably won't fit the thermo players.

i was under the impression that the map's imbalance towards UEF was discovered after it went into rotation.
is it true? it would make criticism of the voting process invalid.

HardFFA was in the poll because a lot of people wanted it in the poll.

Guess they were right as it was the most voted map. So yeah, it's democracy fault all along.

As you said, I should stop running poll and do whatever I want.

All these replays are actually starting to make the map grow on me. Unless there is UEF involved, it is really starting to test who is the better strategist, because normal BOs, techniques, tactics, and strategies simply do not work on this map. It's interesting to see the best players in the game clearly scratching their heads at what to do...

No, please don't fix this. This is the most fun I've had watching supcom games, ever.

In all seriousness, the map pool is based on a democratic system, so the result should just be played with for a while. If this is going to be changed, there's a big chance of people complaining they're not being listened to.

On the other hand, by all means keep providing evidence that the result from the votes is in fact completely ridiculous.
