ZeP: What you are doing is probably THE quickest way to crash a community.

Real shame, seeing someone so talented in programming in the end crash it all because he thinks his FB page quarrels are important.

You let some asshole have Admin rights on your FB page, even after he was banned before - learn from it and man up. Nobody cares about a Facebook page.

I don't usually comment on these things but i feel like some things must be said. In my opinion FAF would not exist if it was not for zep and some other contributors like tiger and others. This game would be dead long ago without all their hard work.

The goal of the facbook page in my mind was to promote FAF and communicate with FAF. It should be a neutral place and logically the founder of FAF should be allowed to communicate with the community he helped create.

How would you react after losing a way to communicate with a community you helped create. That page should be treated as a FAF page with personal issues aside.

I undersand both sides can raise there own points but 1 thing remains true. we do this to keep the community alive. A community that would not exist if not for the hard work of people we know. Many people claim to be able to do it however FAF exists because some people really did put in the work and did a good job. Thank you.

I hope my english is ok and that people can understand my point.

If this issue has not been extensively talked through in private forums or chat you two really need to calm down, restart the server and discuss this privately. Because currently both of you are absolutely destroying FAF's reputation.

Yeah me too, but I feel more sad... It cant be just because of a silly facebook page most people didnt even notice until today, we arent allowed to play the game we all love so much. I really appreciate the work and time that was put into the client but this isnt nice...

Sry, but I dont understand this. Just because someone does not want to give the page away he made is no reason to shut FAF down. Your personal problem with other people is no reason to shut FAF down. This reflects how much you care about the community.
We the players have absolutely nothing todo with this, but you punish all the people who supported and followed you.

My conclusion after this is that a community dependant on 1 person is a bad thing.
In fact I am really pissed that power is abused here.

What I'm saying is, it doesn't matter who the hell is right in this situation. Zep, you're an admin of a website and a lobby server. If somebody is hijacking the official facebook page then simply make a new one that's actually secured by you and move the f*** on. Also, a facebook page is not the primary form of communication. Instead, it should rather be like, the convient thing for facebook users who don't want to goto the actual primary source of information, your web page that hosts said lobby. The people that actually care about updates and changelogs goto the webpage for information if they want to see if something's new. FB is merely a convenience. If Anaryl is actually making a fit, all you have to do is cut ties and move on, not hold the entire lobby for yourself. That's like a high school teacher holding the entire class because someone supposedly stole a calculator. Also, keep in mind that people donated to make faf running. That's something they purchased, and a squabble between you and some other guy is no reason to hold a product they put money in to allow to happen.

I'm not trying to be an ass. I'm being blunt because I love this lobby and the game and I want this to keep going until it dies for an actual reason, like a server downage. Whether or not Anaryl is guilty or not, the entire community shouldn't be punished for something one person did.

It's 8am in EST land and I have to vote for some dude.

Zep, take this from experience, if you are going to get seriously angry/emotional at the minority of trolls throughout your life your always going to come out worse off as while your a great programmer some trolls are experienced trolls and are very good at winding people up. I've come to the conclusion life is full of people that just want to make you angry, and it's upto you to ignore it, or let it consume you.

I made a game, community 100 fold this one, and I got harassed every day. The more well known you get, the more exposed you are to people, and some people are just damn right weird. As a fellow programmer you should agree with me that's it's illogical on your behalf to get this angry.
