I wouldn't be opposed to snipers getting a vision radius buff.

Vision radius buff + maybe counter intelligence when deployed, not vision all the time!

Apply to the balance change patch and suggest it please! Selen style cloaking + stealth vs radar (when deployed), only being revealed when firing (and when undeployed/moving). EMP shots is a suggestion that would help make up for its low damage.

Looks like I used to like T3 Sera sniper bots vs T3 PD :)

Aeon snipers aren't as good but they are good vs. t2 PD, sniping shields and of course stopping ACU's.
In general sniper bots are about the most cost efficient ground based counters to any land experimental assaults.
Arty is useless for that matter.

Not underpowered!

Sera snipers can easily win a shield+PD war, or if shielded take on t3 pd. They don't need to be buffed. There some issues with the deploy function for sniperbots, not sure if thats been fixed.

Under-utilised != UP

They do have very low life, as they should, BUT i wouldn't mind having their range slightly increased to match that of the artillery. Even if that means increasing their reload time by a small amount.

For me, a perfect price for them would be like the Seraphim t3 shield : mass: 640, energy: 4800, build time: 3200. Aeon ones are weaker than Sera ones, but Harbingers are quite better than Othuum, so it's ok to maintain both snipers at the same cost in any case.

There was some idea before to make Sera snipers hover units. I also think it could be a nice ability.

i think 1 reason for them is that many people just dislike microing 5 units at 200 vs 200 fights, arty is just easier

i never saw a t3 200 vs 200 fight. and is it so difficult to give 5 of those a number and aim at a brick/perci/t4?

They do get better on an exponential curve. You hit a critical mass of them whereupon it's difficult for anyone to do any high tier attacks on you due to your incredible front loaded damage.

And tryed to def, at start if was not easy, but then i massed 30 snipers and about 6 shields, leading with a chiken... That was cool,
Also snipers can actually snipe an acu, 2800 damage is big surprise for acu...
Rock and raging squirell were used sniper snipes a lot, i was sniped like this too by raging, he was actually famous cause of his good t3 sera land..

but to be honest i think t1 arty can do this job just as effective for lower costs...
