Heh, actually it was infinite damage. I remember that daring commanders used to overcharge experimental units which made things interesting. But I don't see why they have nerfed the overcharge in FA, TA had the D-gun which was more awesome (take out lines of units at a time) and it wasn't considered imba. Again, I didn't realise Mercys were added in original, I thought it was a Forged Alliance unit.

I remember that T3 Pgen+T3 mass fabricators were the way to go, don't remember too much about T1 massfabs though. Man those were the days :x

If you want to see the difference, you can just play the vanilla mod. (i hope its correct ported) ;) Games on bigger maps took often longer with big massive bases full of massfabs and other structures, completly shielded and t3 arty shooting each other and SCU groups as mobile economy scource i.e.

The much more "epic" experimentals were already mentioned.

Iirc, t1 arty couldn't outrange t1 pd and many many other minor things.
