Really great update, now bomber 1st isn't a fail, also i hope the amount of snipes would be decreased now.

Yeah because eco wars ending in overproducing your opponent are great. The game shouldn't be about assassinating your opponent it should be who can outproduce the other better.

I find it better this way, as now you can't look at the score and think 'oh f**k I'm behind in score a lot' or maybe 'I'm in the lead, so I should win' so it removes a lot of unnecessary pressure on the player.

I think the opposite is happening...because you don't know how your opponent is doing you are constantly under pressure and you have to bring your a-game in any case.
However leading in points always calmed me down ;)

I tend to say, that i'm gonna miss the score a lot....but i can also follow the argument, that it provides free intel. The bright side may be that there will be more crazy opening strategies :D

I feel this is a decision relevant to higher end games, indeed Ze_Pilot and others seemed to think it was a great idea, and one they had wanted for ages. I personally remember going way back (even Supcom1 beta?) that this was despised by higher order players as it gave away free intel. I felt GPG left it in for this reason (and no not because they are just 'dumb').

My point is that I feel it gives important intel to what is a fairly epic and unmanageable game in comparison to micro-heavy games like Starcraft. At the lower levels I think it should stay - Ze_Pilot has said he is able to do this.

Just wondering what people think.

That's exactly why it was removed.

It is.

Since vanilla beta I would say.

Scouting is not a replacement for the info. It allowed you to adjust your game to be more aggressive/defensive/eco more / go for a snipe. I don't see why it needs to be removed. Since when has it been a problem?

And it's easier to make a scout than counting score.

The game is way to epic and huge to actually scout everything. I always found it helpful, you knew if you opponent was pushing eco, an early Com upgrade - and you could react accordingly. There is a risk that this will skew games as players who scout things too late instantly lose.

I mean was this necessary? Who made this decision?

If I watch a replay, I get the proper score summary though.

Just way for the "game over" popup to display before leaving the game, and it will work.

this does not work.
