The glaringly obvious thing here is that everybody plays with autogive mod. Despite the fact that 3610 automatically gives your allies all your stuff when you die/disconnect/etc (provided death-sharing is not prohibited), people still use the mod because it gives stuff 20 seconds sooner.

With that in mind, it would not be difficult to code the OnDefeat script to make it so only certain unit types die or only certain others live. However, I fail to see how this would address the underlying problem that ARMA has expressed.

This is still assassination but is a compromise between Full-Share and Share-Until-Death as one is a punishment to kill a commander and the other is usually game over after the first snipe.

You lose your commander, you're dead. All your mexes, pgens, storage and engineers explode. All your units and factories remain and are shared to the highest scoring allied player as in the auto-share mod.

There is no longer an extreme eco boost to the player who was already eco'ing the hardest as he will need to rebuild the destroyed base. He will have the units, hopefully, to defend it while he rebuilds, or make the final push that his teammate couldn't finish.

I think it will be a small nerf to eco only players because their efforts will have been for nothing if they die, and it could encourage teammates to finish a tactic that their ally began.

I might be missing something glaringly obvious here that would discount this whole idea, but it was just an idea I had.

funk I said 50% of nerf for say something, we could do a modificator for that and before start choose the quantity of the nerf if com die, like between 10% and 90% of nerf, lol, taht need be tested ,but could be better if we can choose that between a range of nerfs

Mental's idea would be pretty easy to code, but I don't really know why you'd want the game to work that way. You lose your ACU/SCUs and you have, let's say, 2 minutes to get a new SCU before you lose, but all your stuff is EMPed for 1 minute? If you don't already have a gate + a ton of engineers + a half-built SCU already, this doesn't change anything. I possess the ability to code this, but I don't think it's a good idea.

When the all your current commander units are dead you are given a time limit to rebuild a support commander otherwise punishment is the lose the condition. This would be a deminishing timer that ticks away when you have no acu or support commanders, insert fancy lore about only being able to remote connect to planet units for set time hence calling it uplink.

the acu nuke is now 2.5k its still will take out your entire eco system and your enginners assiting your facs :( thats the other problems. but small maps sup fails big map sup wins kinda.

the problem with supremacy dont is only abuse combomb, the problem is that we will se many coms flying to back of bases or using it like rambo with no care, and taht could be really annoying in some games
