What's weird about it? I have two FA shortcuts on my desktop: one is to the FAF folder's executable at C:\ProgramData\FAForever\bin\ForgedAlliance.exe, and the other is what I use when I play a campaign mission and is at C:\Program Files (x86)\THQ\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander - Forged Alliance\bin\ForgedAlliance.exe. The second one does not reflect any FAF changes to the game.

You can play the campaign through FAF coop (but alone), it will use FA(F) balance.

Was that the same for all factions? Because in that same mission, if I put up a (UEF) point defense to guard my base, the AI comes in with a batch of (Aeon) tech one arty and knocks it right out (it seems to be programmed to do that). But as you can see in that screenshot, I had about a half-dozen UEF artys that all got turned to charcoal by one Aeon PD.

That's exactly right, because this is how it was in the original supreme commander. In fact, in the FA closed beta, it was my idea to let T1 arty out-range T1 PD (and give T1 Pd more hp to compensate). Kinda funny here that it uses an old PD, I guess

Tech 1 Arty range vs. point-defense

In the Forged Alliance campaign mission #2, there is a mission objective to destroy two powerplants guarded by some Aeon anti-air and tech one point defenses. When I send in some UEF tech one artillery to take out the point defenses (by selecting my artillery and clicking on the closest enemy point-defense with the attack cursor), the point defense kills my arty as soon as it gets close enough to start firing.

What's going on? In non-FAF Forged Alliance, did Aeon tech-one point defenses outrange UEF tech-one artillery?
