What about creating new irc channel #clans that would be strictly designed for assembling sparrings between clans, recruitment etc.

Btw. there are already 24 clans those have minimum 4 members ;)

I should mention that I see a clan war as more of a final later on. Initially some smaller Clan tournaments would be used in order to build up anticipation.

Almost like a double elimination tournament where the clans get draws and face different clans. Maybe each round would take 1 week in a best of 5 matches. Games are only played on friday saturday or sunday leaving the early week for practice.

This way the only difference come clan war time would be that every clan would play every clan. People would be use to the 5 match formt because of these smaller tournaments. They would also help show if the later clan war would be possile at all.

Again the 5 matches would go 1v1---2v2---3v3---2v2---1v1 (As needed as a clan could win 3 straight)

I get that Sunday might be a better day because people more often have other commitments on a Saturday however taking other time zones into account Saturday may be better.

Yeah sunday evening evening in the EU is morning for anyone past there, its okay to expect other timezones to have to get up earlier if they want to play, but not exclude them, because I doubt that any people are free monday morning.

Didn't know that FA was a MMORPG game, thanks for opening my eyes.

Because of the small number of player even though EU are the most common, I doubt you would find more than one clan with only Euro players.

It would also just arbitrarily add a location restriction to clan tournaments.

"Oh but my 2v2 guy can't play today" "yes but mine can't tomorrow" "blabla", end of the week, the game are not played. Already happened often enough.

Also a fixed time is a making it an important and recurrent event, better for the community.

If the clan war is happening every sunday evening at 8pm GMT+1, with 10 clans, it's 2,5 months having all your sunday evening free.

I don't get that why do you want to set up an exact day and hour for clanwars. Let the leaders of both clans those are supposed to have a clanwar that week, choose day and hour by themselves. After clanwar, winners simply report game/replay id and result to tournament forums. And that's it.

Alternatively, you could use an average rating to divide into divisions.

I would, despite my pessimism, like a clan tourny/league. The idea should be treated with care and thought carefully over before making any action though. Thus why this thread exists in the first place I guess :)

What's the difference between FAF and WoW? Both are games, that's all. Assembling 25-players raids ain't that hard. Here, only 4 or less required. I just hope that there will emerge a new wave of clans those gonna aim higher than 2/3 active members per clan.

You don't need to be a skilled player to join a raid. Whereas in a FA clantourney only the highest level players will stand a chance. Also these tourneys are planned and prepared for a long time before the actual games, making the commitment much greater than a wow raid. I guess its also relevant to bring up that FAF clans have much more restricted recruitment policies
