Loyalists are pretty much better in too many ways, techinally you get more DPS and HP for your mass with both assualt bots then you do with the Brick and Percival.

A Loyalist is everything a Titan is, but better (mainly range I think).

And the story about the t2 is no fairytale. You can test it. Obsidians of aeon not only win against titans the smash them.

Can't confirm this. Titans win vs. Obsidians mass for mass in my test.

There's actually a lot of units that have weapons visible but not functional. It's a fairly common occurrence in RTS games, and games in general. The artist talks to the initial design team and goes off on their own. The design team talks balance, and the engineering team talks function. They conclude that unit doesn't need that weapon, and it never gets implemented. The artist comes back with the mode, having never heard that discussion, and they all decide to keep it how it is because it looks cool or would be a waste of time to remove.
