Remember the shield bug that habies had? Any chance it could be related?

My guess is "of course"

The bug with the harbinger was that the hitbox of the unit penetrated the shield. When charging forward, your harbinger would take damage to the shield AND unit. When retreating or strafing, this didn't happen.

I bet there is something similar with all shielded units in that the unit hitbox and the shield hitbox are not the same, and depending on position the former can penetrate the latter.

that could be possible. If the projectile hits the shield, everything is working fine.

If the projectile hits the ground near to the shield, the splash is calculated and goes throught the shield.
never saw that though

i experimented a bit more with it. looks like fatboys can move into the splash.

Alright , i noticed OPs statement yesterday with my fatboy that took hull damge at 80% shield health or so. The answer: Seraphim t3 artillery! I guess they do so much splash, that when the shot hits the edge of the fatboy shields, the splash damage gets through. Hitting the shield directly causes no splash to get through.

Didn't checked this out with other T3 artillerys or splash weapons yet.

They are not.

Every replay still desynchs. Clearly not broken?

Sandbox game didnt desync, all other 3612 games i played from March 9 t March 11 do. Make it 3613 so there wont be problems with replay managers?

they pass straight through when you are out of power.

which occurs more often, if you dont build energy storages, as in 3599 you had lots of energy storage due to every engineer providnig some. This is now differently. If you build no storage you only have 4000 energy stored, which is empty pretty fast if a teammate suddenly stops pushing you through the energy, you thought you have produced yourself xD

Speaking of which... Would it be possible to adjust the ingame UI so that it would actually show what you produce yourself and what you get from teammates? (it should)

Has anyone else noticed that weapons are passing through shields in FAF/ 3611 ? I have seen both naval and air units weapons pass straight through mine. Is this intentional?

Please provide a replay and a description of where/when in the replay this occurs.

Shields have not been changed in FAF, so I would be very surprised to see anything like what you described.
