You can get all the fixes here:
https://bitbucket.org/thepilot/forged-a ... a/overview

But I don't recommend picking apart the .faf files. Instead, let's try to solve your connection problem. :) You'll have a working install of FAF then and can launch it locally for skirmish or LAN play, as well.

What exactly is going wrong at the moment? Do you get a connection error?

I'm through with trying to understand the problem. It worked only spotty at best on GPGnet (on my home internet) and then it didnt work at all on my dorm internet. Steam's p2p works fine though for all those games (including FA).

Yes. You can connect to update and patchs, then play locally or even with LAN option.

For some reason I didn't think of this, that's essentially what I want. Duh

As FAF is a ONLINE multiplayer lobby, you will have to make the patching yourself if you don't use FAF.

We are doing patches for FAF, not FA in general :)

Do you have these lag and high ping with any program or only FAF ?

any game. some problem with my internet connection i guess. i am not sure actually

Are all the bug fixes/balance changes in FAF contained in the .scd files? I want to be able to use all the patch changes in a stock 3599 install. I can't connect to FAF servers so I would like to enjoy the bug fixes with my friends on LAN.

Do I just install the lobby and copy the patched gamedata files (minus the lobby specific ones) to a 3599 install?

I wouldnt do that if I were you. They did a hell lot of stuff in FAF. Doing all that would break it.
