thank you! (I take it that the top one is more accurate do to the size comparisons with other images) But something slips my mind, the blue outlined pics, there was one with the mavor and scathis, but IMAGE SHACK RUINED EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Both images are incorrect.

well guessing that a mech marine is around 11.7 meters tall would think that a ACU is around 90 meters at least! (how can I show picstures?)

In the unit files, the mech marine has a Y-size (vertical) of 0.6. If that's 11.7 metres, the Y-size of the ACU (2) would mean that the ACU is 39 metres. That's less than half of the 90 metre in that first picture.

On the supreme commander (vanila) website every unit had it's dimensions shown.

It was a nice website :)

WAS? what happened?

It was taken off-line, it was very old. Anyway, what that person did, was compare the size of the maps with the unit size they had. As I said, a 5kmx5km map is 256x256 units. Then one unit is ~20 metres. The ACU is 2 units (40 metres). The mech marine is 0.6 units (12 metres).

I have a screenshot of the GC, from that old website. Look at the Physics part. It's 127 metres high. Look at the speed part (2.5): it can go 48.8 m/s, which is 175.68 km/h, or 109.8 mph (you had calculated something like that?)

Also, two sets of screenshots from the intro movies of the UEF and the Cybran. The estimated values of the ACU sizes go from 28.8 metres, to 50 metres. In all computations, the first is the factor between the estimated size and the number of pixels on screen, the second uses the factor to determine the size from the number of pixels measured on screen. My estimations are that the distance between the lights of that Cybran pod, is 1.5 metres. It's probably a bit less. The estimation of the UEF worker's size is 1.8 metres, which may be a tad low. Since both ACUs are of the same size (in-game), the 40m value you also get from computing the size of a unit square in-game and then determining the size of the units from the unit files, is the only accurate value. 28.8 is incredibly low, let alone the 25m in that second file on the previous page. 90m is way too high.

The map dimensions support this. A 5km x 5km map is 256x256 squares, which have size 1. That means that a square is ~19.5m. If you check the unit files of the ACUs, you can see that the size is about 2, or that an ACU is 39m.

This was also the size in the old database.
