Pretty humorous indeed -- but openness about the code that people are running, especially in light of the UI-exploits that were fixed in 3636 -- would be nice.

The yellow's attack command was actually STOP. I never thought that it makes that multiple selection effect.
Anyway thanks for mentioning that its not worth using.

Thanks a lot D4E_Omit!

How to reproduce:

1. Give your asfs a move order towards the enemy (or any attack unit I think)
2. Once they started battling the enemy just press stop to cancel their move command

Done! Now check your replay and you can see this is exactly what happened in this guys' game.
I am surprised the modders couldn't figure this out.

P.S : This way of attacking is really unreliable and bad, this guy just got really lucky.

Its possible use the attack move and then alt+g

You can have multiple targets but you have to select 1 by one not all at once.

But that not alowed multiple attack selections but only one.

So the question is!

Iff that player can use the multiple attack selection because he done ,how can others do the same so they play fair game...

I remenber on steam ppl share a mod ui for that but here i dont think that mod exist here ,that mod ui was baned because players see that as cheat and i kind agreed.

So is it possible some players now about it and used here?

So or something is miising us or some off us just didnt new the right keys to do that.

Sheeo, by chance do replays list the installed mods used during the match? If not this could be something worth adding to help in cheat investigation / prevention.

Resin

They list the sim mods used, but not the UI-mods. I do think we should enforce openness about UI-mods and require them to be in the vault/tracked by us for versioning, so it's clear exactly what set of files a player used to play his game.

I'll note that a UI mod to do this is theoretically possible, and given the many years this game has been out I'm surprised we don't have any in the vault.

I checked the replay, the spread attack simcallback seems to not have been called during the game.

So what's your conclusion? Do you also think that the video shows an odd phenomenon?

If it was shift+G - you would have seen multiple red lines towards the green's asfs.
Instead, you only see multiple asfs being targeted.

So I think its not the shift+G option

Anyway - the question really is how Yellow select so many asfs to attack. It wasn't manually, in my opinion...

Any SIM side mod would be required for all players so if he is using a mod, it's gotta be UI based.

Looks like Yellow used shift+G command. It will split the attacks of the units in the selected group onto as many units targeted with shift+G.

To use it, shift click many targets, then click G, the orders will be then splitted automatically.

Yeah, I forgot about that one.
