Im fairly certain some dev's said a few weeks ago that the button on the bottom is broken, doesnt always mean there is someone searching

Okay, why do I sometimes wait for ten minutes, then get the popup at the bottom, then if I unclick my request (in the upper left) and click the popup at the bottom it goes right away?

It seems like sometimes my ladder request is ignored or ignores incoming ones to me.

That does not answer my question. The duration of the ladder-season is unclear and has been for a while.

It starts at a certain match quality % (not sure what this is, let's say like 70% for the sake of a number) and slowly that changes up to 55%, as you search for longer.

its based on rating and from what I understand there's an initial search range(I'm not sure what it is, if its standard or if its dependent on how high your rating is) but the longer you wait the broader the search range becomes.

i'm not here to create another debat on the ladder, i just wanted to know how does it work ?
I mean how does he choose my opponent ? cause recently i began to face players that have 200-300 rating more than me.
Does it choose opponents with their ligues or with their rating ?
