As with any election, who wins will for a big part be determined by how well known he or she is. I think that it would be best if the candidates would introduce themselves somehow.

As it is, for me the only candidates that I sufficiently have an opinion about, from their contribution to the forum and from their casts, are Zock, TA4Life and Speed2.

Regarding what players have done for the community until now, I vote for zocky or pinkheart.

On more thing too.

TA4Life is very good too. Excellent player and he should be considered for the position. Plays fair and knows the ins and outs of the game.

So there are two good choices.

1. Blackheart
2 TA4Life.

Well I'm going to vote the guy with the most playing experience because..

1. They know how to play the game the WAY it should be played.
2. They know how to smell a cheater or exploiter a mile away and show other players how to detect a cheat and exploiter
3. Will be an active proponent in getting rid of cheater and exploiters and continously campaigning to other adminstrators to BAN cheaters and exploiters.
4. Make sure that new players will not be ostracized as a "noob" every darn time.
5. Give the new player TRUE HELP...not just saying "Oh go watch replay" BS.

Now I don't know all the candidates. However I did play against BH. BH is good, sounds like a friendly guy and probably will tell a player more than "Oh go watch the replay" baloney without telling the new player what to look for in the replay. BH looks like a good pick.

Basically he has to be cordial and kind to the new players that want to learn how to play the game and a total jerk to cheaters and exploiters. Do that on a daily basis and he has my support.

So far i only see BH caring about balance part of the game and trolling aeolus. And now you say this guy should represent all the players in FAF? Nice joke

Yes, and i think you can, but you can't be the balance and player councillor, just a part of the team, however it will looks like.

Saying the player councillor should have to do more than everyone else with balance sounds strange. That would be (obviously) the responsibility of the balance councillor.

As far as i see it, there would be enough to do for the player councillor without balancing..most important to offer the perspective of a player/the players into all council decisions and to represent their needs. Working on improvements for ladder, mappool, rating and all other controversial topics among the community. Support tournaments and the ones who organize them. Communicate council decisions to the players. Let the community participate with polls etc, organize other form of community-events..

Someone who believes there is nothing to do except balance is maybe the wrong person for this position, and should rather apply as balance councillor.

what i would like to see is that those who are willing to be the players advocate, are in touch with the community.
they can not do what everyone wishes but have to decide for this or that.
it would be therfore interesting to me/us what their main goal will be.

being open for changes or rather konservative?
will they ask in a thread and discuss before deciding? i do not know what is talked in FAF chat lobby or facebook or irc, i prefer reading this forum.
if not much is being heard from them now, it is almost certain that if elected this will NOT change.
when i compare it with politicians i should say..

Well it's up to the people if they want to see balance changes of any great impact (diversifying strategic depth), or only small adjustments to the current balance (that will make the game more fair between factions, but not touch upon internal balance between tech levels etc). I personally like the direction Vee is taking, which is more balanced between the two, than the conservative direction that several nominees favor (bh, nepalm).

This vote is for Players Councilor not for Balance Team, however I would like to remind people that the council will decide on the balance team and certain nominees, if given the power, will undoubtedly try to push their views by appointing like-minded individuals rather than trying to come up with a well-rounded group of people.

On top of that, certain nominees rather ridicule other people's suggestions than offer anything constructive
