I think the reason is that it is u1500 which is a strange bracket. I'm fine with playing in it but most other people who are just under don't play for some reason (might be because they think it is below them) and lower rated players are too intimidated to play. Maybe put in an u1600 (I don't think we've had one like that). Also need to advertise!!! Usually there is a low turn out for u1500 and I have to pm spam alot of people to get the minimum. u1600 might be somewhat of a solution but idk. wwpc u1500 has got scheduling problems too :/

Simple reason for me: all my family moments are at that time and day, every week from 3-8 pm +1 gmt I am not available, either for a b-day or just chatting up with my mom, which does occupy me every single week. Aside from this, I usually catch up on college projects and such

in short, just time issues, if it would be at 8-11 pm GMT or even 7 till 11 pm GMT I might be able to make it, or on sunday afternoon

I think it would help if there was a more concerted effort to advertise tournaments like these in the news page (or somewhere else). I only saw it because someone mentioned it in aeolus.
