If everything is all right, the game window pops up, but if you are already "in game", you will recieve an error message - FA cant start, because another instance of the game is running (or something like that).

It's perfectly possible that someone start searching before you send the stop command. (you are actually already in a game after you stop).

That lag can happens because you are not launched until your opponent has his own FA launched and connected. That's why there is a 10 seconds delay.

I'd suspected this had been going on for ages but I finally caught it in the act. around 1:40pm gmt +10

It'd be nice to get the points reimbursed, because it really is unfair to be pulled into the queue when you've specifically cancelled.
