Still an issue. I can join a 8 player game and cause 2 players to randomly time out to the host.

I see this issue a lot with users in Windows 8. It seems like the OS likes to close ports for FAF for no good reason.

I tried filing an issue earlier, but was told "we don't support windows 8." Not sure what else there is to be done.

Ok, Re-installed windows after a fresh format of my boot drive and any incompatibilities between myself and AngryArty seem to be gone.

Just assuming that it had something to do with the registry, but who knows, all else fails, format Thanks Pil0t for your time help. I will return if anything new pops up.

Ok, I have, through process of elimination, found that there is an incompatibility with myself and Angry being in a lobby together. I can be in the lobby completely connected, then once he joins I get the pop-up "Keep Trying or Give Up"

However, I can host a game, and he can connect fine and we can play games. There is just a problem with me joining a game weather he joins after me and I lose connection later or I join a game he is in and lose connection immediately.

In the next patch, the connection will be threaded, and chances are that it won't freeze that much.

Looks to me as if the major problem of not being able to connect to servers was solved by resintalling Supreme Commander, and Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance. I still however get the 10 sec delay, and may try looking into it further if it becomes more debilitating. As for right now I just lag out once when I join a server, and get the errors displayed above, but upon reentering the server everything is acceptable.

Now just have to wait for FAF to get Greenlit on Steam, and I can die content.

Other than that, I think re-installing Supreme Commander+Forged Alliance might have fixed my problem, will confirm after more time.

I also have that 10 seconds issue when there are large amounts of players.

I notice Tactical's problem in quite a bit of games. Someone will join, and it says establishing connection. The latency to the host goes yellow. It then says the connection to the newly joined player has timed out. After timing out, it says connection established. They will still be in the lobby on their end, but after the timeout I can't see them. The problem persists even if they rejoin.

I thought it was part of that "please wait 15 seconds before you alt+tab for the game lobby to load" thing. I guess I have an additional problem then. I assume that the next step is a re-install of Sup Com Forged Alliance followed by a reformat(depending on success).

When I join a game, I am hit with the normal 10 seconds of lag in the game lobby, then the cpu test begins to count down, when it gets to zero, I get the "Keep Trying or Give Up" pop up. I can not seem to connect to more than half of the games I attempt. I have reinstalled FAF multiple times with the latest .msi file with no success. Any help would be appreciated.
