If you right click the download icon for a map in FAF and select Copy Link, you will get its direct download address. Copy and paste into your browser to download the zip file. Unpack it into your maps folder.

I do not think there is a way to list all the maps without using the FAF client. It would be quite a mess to browse for maps that way without preview images and the filters that are part of FAF.

I think what he was asking for his second question was where the maps are stored when they're downloaded from the vault, the answer to which is the maps folder, so he can copy maps he's already downloaded to his friends. I believe they're just extracted to the "My Games\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\maps" folder?

So I and a couple of friends wanted to play FAF in school. Only problem is that the school network blocks all unused outgoing and incomming ports. Meaning not just connecting to other players, I cant even connect to the lobby client. Is there a way to launch the game in offline/lan mode where one would still be able to play without connecting to the matchmaking server?

Oh and if possible maybe a way to enable mods such as blackops as well.

Yes, check the wiki article. This will start FA will all the modifications and balance changes that are part of FAF. Use the built in Multiplayer LAN feature that came with the game.
