Yes, and thanks. I see that ht issue is named "hover on build queue". The problem also applies to hover on a selection of any units, as described earlier in this thread. Just making sure it's clear.

And I too agree that it was a useful feature, I don't recognize all the unit symbols.

Could someone of the technical team perhaps put this in Github to fix? No idea how that works.

You're not the only one and I was just about to post a message when I saw your post.

To check I was not going crazy, I launched Steam FA, and hovering over units in build queues and groups showed the unit type.

I actually find it rather annoying that it's gone. It was a really usefull feature, especially when you want to play a faction you're not used to, and recognising an interceptor from a bomber just by the look of its icon is not that obvious.

edit: and it did happened right after one of the very last patches. I noticed straight away because I always check my groups' composition that way. (often playing on the TV from a distance, and I find it easier to read the info bubles to be sure what I select)
