OK, replying to myself...schizophrenia, maybe. My above post was not the solution, neither was a new router. Sadly, I wish it would all work, including Mumble. Hope you have better luck.

I may have a solution or at least something that prevents frequent crashes for this issue.

Solution : re-install Steam, FA and FAF and do NOT install mumble. When starting FAF, do not start the "download app" or "search for app". Just log in to FAF and play. Mumble made me Stumble.

If I find a better solution, I will post it.

Fail again, disabled all sound. Still lots of crashes. This is getting annoying, don't expect to have so many problems with this game. Computer is $1400, AMD 8 core, 120ssd, gforce 970, 16 ram....to PLAY this game. Changed computer to have separate router number. At whit's end. Really wish there was a simple check list by main administrator that solves 90% + of these problems.
Just want to play, not become IT solutions expert...

I seem to have the same problem as in this thread;

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=9577&start=10

I'll try installing everything in default drive locations and see if that works.

Ok I've found the probable cause for my problems at least. It was the sound. If I disable all sound cards in the device manager (I have two) it works alright. Will look into it a bit more, since it's more fun to play with sound... saw some threads on steam which talked about problems with surround sound causing a problem, but i only have stereo so i can't disable surround...

I am experiencing the same thing with Window 10. 15 or so minutes in, freeze. Happens about 1 out of every 2-3 games. Even updated my IPv4 addresses like they recommended.

Intreresting, seems like the same problem. I'll dig up my logs and post them, I guess they're saved somewhere.

I'll be trying some other maps and settings and see if it's the same there.

Hope there's a fix for it laying around somewhere

That's basically what I describe, too here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10699

It doesn't freeze everytime but like 2 out of 10. And about everytime I get that unhandled exception thing.

On Win7 though.

same issues there....i think someone should really look into this.

Maybe this helps: When I played Greenio I got 2 freezes....he was streaming at that time...when i looked at his screen after i got out of my freezing game, i saw that he was still connected to faf but his chat didnt work anymore. And when the other game froze, he disconected from the lobby.

Hi, I'm having some problems playing FAF. I played one or two games of regular FA before without any crashes.

I've been playing about 5 games now, and it's always crashing about 15 minutes into them.

I'm playing the map Finn's revenge against an easy AI. I've tried other maps but then I lost in less than 15 minutes...

When it crashes the screen freezes. I can still move the mouse pointer though. I can't tab out from the game, and i can't do ctrl-alt-del or use the windows key. If I log on to the computer remotely i see the error dialog that I've attached to the post. I can't click and select the log dialog, and can't copy the text... therefore the picture instead.

I'm running windows 10, on an AMD fx-8320. 16 gigs of ram. graphics is a geforce gtx 590 Ti.

Any help is appreciated!
