So you are half a year to late for your reply.

A) as 32-bit program SupCom can handle 3,2 GB of memory. Thats far enough. And i am playing SupCom always with unitsmods that will use additional 300MB of memory. So when i can play the game with 300MB additional memory load, the normal game will run fine.

B) Of course not. If we see "poor" code, we first optimize them, before we add something new. And FAF runs way faster then vanilla or steam.

C) Its not the "engine". Its the fact that supCom uses LUA for most parts of the simulation. If you want to update this you have to programm the whole lua code into c++ or assembler. This is more then a update. It's reprogramming the whole game except graphics.

@GrinderEWZ
The game was not made for the future, its just using lua instead of c++ or assembler. Thats why the game is so slow.

Compared to a 2005 pc even a middle of the run 2012 pc is much more powerful and with broardband more memory ect there are still issue's.

Was this game designed to torture future computer's?

A) Forged Alliance is a 32-bit program and that greatly increases the likelihood of crashes due to memory depletion. Which it uses alot of so it should not have been a 32 bit program to begin with.

B) FAF adds more crap on top of what is already poorly made.

C) The game was made off of an engine made in 2005 when it should have used one from a more modern time, the game badly needs an engine update. The ideas are good, but the execution by gpg was horrible.

It is terrible to have these facts when you see what the game was capable of doing scale wise. I guess it was a case of too good to be true.

1) Have a system/program that tracks crashes in games (that history helps determine if the game is working well or needs fixes)
2) Create a list of solutions to common problems (with link to detailed directions) with % of success...eg port forwarding 4%
3) Marketing - there is 400-900 players at any given time. Once game is stable (as can be), please work with steam to drop the price to $2 or $5 for 6months to entice as many new players as possible.

Good Luck

Game crashes 30-50 minutes into the game. Found a post that describes a similar problem but do not understand how to resolve that specific issue nor is there a guide.

Attached are the two latest logs.

I have...(on this new $1400 PC)
1) Port Forwarded
2) UPnP
3) Bought a new router
4) Turned off firewall
5) Punched my PC

and now
6) New modem (docsis 3.0)
7) Verified speeds (20ms Ping,59.23MbpsDownLoad,5.93MbpsUpLoad)

None of the above has worked...

Would appreciate any assistance.

Best regards,
CameNLostIt
