Can't Connect to Update Server

I'm trying to connect to games or host games of FAF but whenever I do I get stuck at the "connecting to update server" screen. The problem appeared when I moved back into university accommodation today. For other games I play (Dota 2, Wargame: Red Dragon) which were having issues with the university internet I fixed the problem by acquiring a VPN called Tunnelbear, however FAF seems to be still having connection issues and I can't work out why.

I tried disabling my firewall but that didn't help. I would be surprised if the issue was with my PC or its settings as nothing has changed since I was supremely commanding a few days ago, but I can't work out how to fix this issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!
