Does it use the same?
Second I was having trouble with my NAS ever since I upgraded my modem and it turned out to be an IP issue, once I changed the routers IP to the same as the old one I could see my NAS again and also have not had the slow download issue since...

Weird huh?

Why is it that when ever I try and download anything FAF related (updates, maps, mods) I cant seem to get anything faster than 10-20 KBps. I know its not MY connection cause if I do a speed test at the same time it comes back that my available bandwidth is much higher my normal throughput is arround 1.3 MBps which the last time I checked is like x100, I do understand the limitations of this wonderful thing we call the internet as the data has to make it all the way over the other side of the world, but really 10KBps???
Other members in my clan never seem to have this problem...
Sometimes at random the speed will pick up and I will smash through downloads in a few seconds but very rarely. Like for instance it is gonna take the best part of an hour to download the new FAF client right now :(
What the hell is going on, it is very annoying and I cant think of any real explanation except for distance from the servers, but then why does it sometimes work fine?

Cheers in advance

The Dr.
