guys, first I sugest you read a bit the forum before creating new threads, you should have founded :

from that topic, my solution is :

ok, this is a workaround, not a fix, I am not certain how long it will last, but It can grant you acess by now to the chat :
the issue is, you nickname is not registered

go to https://client01.chat.mibbit.com/

press server, type faforever.com
on nick : type your faf username
leave Channel empty, press Connect

type the folowing :

/msg nickserv register PASSWORD email

where PASSWORD is a password of your choosing ex:25418a5asdffv483
email is your email ex:[email protected]

Now, about specifics :

TheKrizMan --> you are registered, make sure you are running last client version
Dogyto --> you are NOT registered, register your nick using above info

tatsu, maybe the "other guys" nick is also not registered

met another guy in game yesterday who had the same issue. I didn't know what to say to him except try reinstalling faf or just connecting to aeolus via online irc.

I had that happen to me as well, and still have not obtained a decent solution to this. I will attempt to take Leo's advise and see if I can apply that for my own client.

try change your DNS to google one..
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

After the update I'm not getting any of the chat windows up. Is there a fix for this? If there is already a thread could some one please point me towards it?
