1. Downloaded the official installer from https://www.faforever.com/client (i.e. https://github.com/FAForever/client/rel ... -win32.msi )
2. Start the client, accepted updater prompt
3. Updater downloaded update and started installer
4. Installer installed fine

"Repair or remove" only shows up if you run the same installer that you just installed from (i.e. run it twice). It should never appear with the automatic update.

What steps did you follow exactly?

Please try downloading the current release installer directly from Github and installing that: https://github.com/FAForever/client/releases/tag/0.12.1

When I launch the lobby I am asked if I want to update. If I say no the program closes, if I say yes it downloads the update and asks if I want to repair or remove FAF. Selecting repair, it starts applying the update but about a third of the way through an error message appears saying

"The specified account already exists."

and then the program closes. If I try launch again the same thing happens. I have tried multiple re-installs (following the proper method) but the problem remains.
