Since we haven't had any other requests for this, I believe you would be the only consumer of this feature. Or at least; a member of a minority.

Instead I think I will just add an outbound firewall rule :)

Unless you setup a high level firewall that snoops your http traffic (Or happen to already run such a thing), you'll need to block port 80 and 443 to (*.)faforever.com.

Good luck with this and have fun playing on FAF.

Currently you cannot opt out of this. Client repo is open source, if you want the option to opt out and you're a programmer, it'd be perfect if you added this yourself, thanks for your help :)

when you play a game, some data transfered bewtween you and the other player is stored in a form of a replay file
when you play a game, and you have direct connection, your ip is transmitted to the other player , and its on his log
when you open the client, and get into the irc chat, all channel moderators know your ip
so, if you do not agree with the submission of information, well, I think you should stop playing this game

Its lucky that I am a programmer and can read the code, but people without the knowledge will not be able to.

Please add an opt out option.

There is no way to see what information this submits, not can I opt out.

I have not been informed, not have I given my consent, therefore I have to assume that the information collected also includes information about my system.

Therefore it violates European Data Protection laws, and is then ulawful to collect the data.
