I have no idea what's happening on the server's side but i was be able to log in just now.
So it's working (chat, games) without me doing anything other than logging in.

Logged in trough steam and it worked, but according to the activity on the lobby I'm not the only who can't log in today. Thanks!

Is your account connected to Steam?

I have the same problem too except I don't have red icon, I have no FAF icon, it disappears after "logging in". oO
It's probably related to the server update happened yesterday/today.

I currently have the same problem noticed the red FAF icon on the top...normally logs in on it self. (had to reset my pw) still nothing...last night I watched the chat after ZOCK and Whiteheart squared of on badlands and everything was just fine.

I marked the topic as unresolved.

I checked the server logs, and your login is failing because of an issue with your encoded unique-id. We're replacing this part of the client very soon, so hopefully this new system won't have the same problem for you. Until then, I've added you to a list of users that circumvent this system. You should be able to login and play within an hour when the server picks up this change.

Please do confirm that this works for you now

My new faf id is Honkin_Plague .There so much possible fun names , i just can't stop on one . Sorry for being too shifty-honky. For some reason forum id still same , maybe it is supposed to be so.
New log in attachment , all still same.

Don't give up and no, that's definitely _not_ what to do. There's something going on with your login, but our server logs don't go back far enough for me to see what's going on there. Can you post an updated forever.log where your startup fails?

EDIT:

I searched our database, and you're trying to login with an account named "expendableclown". This account does not exist either.

About month , still same problem. The other client crashes , sadly. Well , if devs don't have time to do unpaid work , they don't have time. Demanding anything of them would be stupid and childish.
It was great to be able to play online FAF games , the server features , like true skill system , will be missed but, its not working anymore , at least for me.

Is it time to say goodbye and move to some lan-over-internet program (hamachi like) ?

FAF is just having some issues lately, why does it affect some people and others are fine, well, maybe computer/hardware/Internet provider related

Thanks for reply . So i tried:
Disabling firewall , antivirus , UPnP (Options->Settings->Game Port) - same result.
Oh , and thanks for link to other client. I even tried vanilla Forged Alliance - too slow , and cumbersome compared to FAF. So i definitely want something , if FAF client gone for good for me.

you have a connectivity issue, it might not be on your side of things, but
just run it without firewall and antivirus off, see if it helps, also try do disable Upnp in Options->Settings->Game Port

After login FAF lobby shows , but no games or chat in it , the round FAF icon in top left is yellow for 1-2 seconds then turns red. If right-clicked , option 'reconnect' chosen from drop down menu , turns yellow for 1-2 seconds again then again red. Online replays tab shows replays , so i connected somehow? Weird.

This piece of log looks most important(but i added all of it in attachment, ofc) :

What i tried: uninstalling/reinstalling Visual C++ 2010 redistributable from link helpfully provided by some admin , uninstalling FAF , clearing install directory , installing again , rebooted after - no result , sadly. Checked if uid.dll still in FAF directory (as in, not deleted by antivirus) , it still there. Unchecked UPnP in FAF lobby setting , tried to connect , checked again , tried to connect.

Played FAF for like a year, last time FAF client said it need to update , and after updating to 0.11.58 i have this.
