The cause of this issue has been found by Uveso and he provided the fix here:
https://github.com/FAForever/fa/pull/1540

So it will be resolved next game update.

This occasionally happens in ladder games for me too, menu wont work have to alt+f4 get out of the game, when it happened to me I think it also happened to my opponent, we chatted about it briefly

I'm having the same issue since that last patch.
It's a new PC, running with with Windows 10 (installed june 2016) , and everything worked as good as on the old machine before. Right after the patch i got that bug, almost in all ladder games. There a way more people having this issue, than post's in this thread.
I hope it can be fixed in future patch.

Hey I get this bug too in ladder games exactly like in the screenshot, and its annoying as I clicked the menu when playing normally once and I couldn't see my eco for the rest of the game. This needs to be fixed

a corollary to this problem is a problem at the end of the game. When I attempt to exist through the score screen, I first press the score button and get the are you sure dialog. Pressing yes, only exists to the score screen after some games. After other the UI changes color(I lose the green overlay) and the 'yes' button doesn't do anything.

Once again I tested a regular (global ranked) game and had no problems with the menu. The issue is specific to ladder

after completely reinstalling both game and FAF and erasing all the files in program files and program data folders, the problem persists.

Also, I made a mistake in my original post, the problem is exactly as stated by the other poster with the problem. Image attached

I have the same error (noticed today) during online ladder games (not with replays), but my menu chooses the upper left corner.

Did you make a copy of Game.prefs before you deleted it ?
Copy it over your actual game.prefs, and your hotkeys are back.

Even if you don't want to reinstall the game. At least take a look at:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\THQ\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander - Forged Alliance\gamedata\"

Look at the timestamp of all files.
They should be all the same (Installation date)

If you see a file with a different Date, maybe this is the cause.

update on deleting game preferences.
I lost my hotkeys but didn't lose the original bug.
Also, the bug can not be reproduced when hosting a test game in FAF and playing a sandbox game with an opponent, only when I play ladder I see this bug.
I will wait for the next patch to fix this issue, don't want to reinstall the game, yet.
Will update with any new info

Any thoughts about the main problem: ?

Must be a hook or if this exist a false window positions inside Game.prefs, right ?

Then we have 2 places to check.
Lets start with the game.prefs.
go to: "C:\Users\Hismoom\AppData\Local\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\"
Make a copy of Game.prefs and then delete it.
Start the game, ans check the drop down menu.

If this still don't helped,
Deinstall the maingame.
Important: after deinstallation delete the directory "C:\Program Files (x86)\THQ\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander - Forged Alliance"
Now install the game at the same place and try again.

If this doesen't helped, then we have a real problem

it's caused by current patch, someone commited the same file just with capital letter https://github.com/FAForever/fa/tree/re ... ts/XSL0101
