Code:
C:\ProgramData\FAForever\bin\ForgedAlliance.exe
and use the Multiplayer-LAN mode (i recommend creating a shortcut on your desktop for that).

Once the ICE-Adapter is implemented you might not even need to do that but for now that seems to be the easiest way to get a connection between people in a local network.

Just make sure that everyone has the game and FAF installed properly and the mods you want for your game (assuming you play a modded game on your LAN since offline probably doesn't autodownload mods/maps for you).

If you want to play a featured game mode offline (such as nomads) you can do that by adding
Code:
/init init_nomads
to the shortcut (all the featured game modes have a init_*.lua file in the same location as the .exe file so you can just look them up there).

Me and my friends are big FA supporters and enjoy a good game together on a LAN locally together in one room (5 players)

We have dropouts however of random players every other game where a PC becomes unresponsive and has to quit, even though the network is connected and working.

From my understanding, FAF hosts all games online (hence pings of 100ms approx) - is there a way to run a FAF game with a local host on LAN in case this is the issue?

Regards,

Rob
