To describe UID link more precisely:
UID link links a computer and a FAF account and means you cannot use any other FAF account on that computer.
However, if an account is linked to Steam, UID is ignored completely for this account.

I have a friend who bought a new laptop. I'm assuming he has a steam linked FAF account because he's played on his new computer with no problems. He gave his old laptop to his friend who also had a steam linked FAF account. Unfortunately, when his friend tries to log in on the old laptop, it tells him that computer is already associated with a FAF account. That leaves me with the following questions.

How do you verify that a FAF account is linked to a Steam account?
Does linking your FAF account to Steam remove the UUID binding that apparently happens the first time you make an account?

If someone could help me be less confused I would really appreciate it.
