I have no idea why some things fails and some doesn't.
I guess it's a matter of tolerance to packet loss. Again, I'm not a tech guy :)

You can always try to clear your caches (in settings menu) to be sure that a file is not corrupted.

If it drops packets, how come connecting to and chatting in the server is fine? How come it takes ages to load up the 'Buttons' for creating a custom game?

At the very least, since it won't let me get my game up to date, can you PM me a link to a download of the appropriate files I need to manually replace in my file system?

EDIT: Also, since when did random packet loss cause a local exe to stop responding?

Tried again, finally got a log:

That server must drop packets.

that one

however, routing is not a static thing so did you try restarting your router a few times? you get new ip and sometimes a new routing if you got the right moment

when i have the problem (yeah ZeP i'm still fucked by mediways) i use this, works always
https://www.torproject.org/

but you need some computer knowledge cause FAF does basicly not like proxies obviously (and Tor does not like other apps than firefox  ) , however, you also need that program (or something similar) if you want to do that

but rly, try that router thing before

There is no problem in the FAF server, so only your internet compagny/that guy can fix it.

A - What can I do? E-Mail them and say 'Why are you blocking this?' ??
B - How come I can connect to the server, the website, the forums, the chat, but not download the file? It is all in the same place...

No luck I'm afraid, it deadends at a server I cannot identify. I am connecting from my Uni room, but Steam and all my other gaming services work... Any suggestions?
