This topic explains it and gives many sample maps. The faction mentioned with the map is the defending faction.

played 3v3 me and 5 ai, i saw window on left
attack/evacuate
enemy teams

or maybe i tried wrong map? -yes i did, map must have civ buildings
it needs min2 human players? -no

best with human players, its like a new game mode
imo maybe its too easy for defence, just reclaim all civ buildings (some even got point defenses) and send them all to beacon.
maybe make evac trucks visible to attacker at least on radar if its not already
