(My Forged Alliance files are from 2012, and current windows installation from 2015)

To access it you can press Windows+R and enter regedit and hit enter.
You will get a prompt regarding admin rights -> click on yes and make sure you don't delete/edit stuff you don't know about or you may damage your system

Once you have the regedit window open hit CTRL+F and look for Supreme Commander - Forged Alliance until you find the KEY value
Double klick on it and you will see your retail dvd key

I have a disk version of my FA game, but it's not on Steam, and I cannot add it to steam (only by adding i as a non-steam game, but I don't know if that will work)

Could I play FaF by adding it as a non-steam game without problem? Or I'll need to buy it in steam?

I wait your answers, and thanks!
