Lately I'm frustrated as F*** with the game.... at the point that I really lost will to play , went from >10 matches a day to 1 or 2 , cause I get really angry with myself keeping losing.
I see no improvements in my play style , I tried to switch race , to make some training matches and so on , but it's really hard for me to keep the pace of my opponents and do what seems like they are doing so easily.
That's a typical match i lose vs a t3 opponent, but I can lose to unexperienced players too.
See how i can't expand , my engies get killed and I don't know what to do. I tried to harrass , to move my tanks in offense and find a weak spot ... but the only weakness is mine.
I suffer flank attacks move my tanks up & down left & right like a desperate and just run after mantis.
I don't understand why it's so hard for me to defend especially vs cybran , but anyway why my match is always in defensive after ther first minutes of the match. I don't get what's the biggest error .
Firstly, I don't consider ppl with a rating over 999 to be newbies. You have a fairly high rating so are clearly decent player. Your opponent in this game had a couple hundred more points than you so you shouldn't be surprised that you lost, but you gave him a beating (he only had a third of the map at one point). Also before I forget that mech marine at the start was epic As for engineers I suggest having 1 factory just spamming engineers and then your land spam factories should have engineers mixed in with the combat forces as well, so that there are engineers on the field when you need the reclaim capabilities. Also if you had a group of idle engineers standing around like you would have if you had a factory dedicated to engineer spam, you could have sent them immediately on an attack-move to reclaim after that battle up by your base which would have helped (but it probably wouldn't have won you the game). I am several hundred points lower than you but I have watched many a game and played many a game (over 200 1v1s and counting). Apart from the aforementioned it's just a case of remembering things, like if your radar gets knocked out remember to rebuild it, but that is very hard with a lot of things going on. You did well not to abuse your opponent, he was being a douche towards you when you were clearly frustrated.Statistics: Posted by Flynn — 06 Feb 2013, 19:12
