I think you know the awesome "d[e]cals" mod, originally made form Myxir, based on the work from Green_Nymph aka [SNF]NymphNoob.
Since there are many clans on FAF but only a few with personal clan icons, I'm missing a little action and visual support some time.
I wanted to change that, so...
Whats new:
- all clans without icon getting a random decal now
- nomads and AI support added
- new decals (pick the ones you like)
Decal spawn priority:
If matching icons are in the following folders, they will spawn in this priority...
1) "players" > icon + faction
2) "clan_icons" > icon + faction
3) "clan_icons_random" > icon + faction
4) no clan > just faction icon
Add/Change icons/decals:
- just drop the .dds files in the correct folder, with matching names (playername, clantag or faction)
- e.g. some factions have optional decals
Install:
- download the mod: https://tinyurl.com/y93pnf57
- extract/place folder into C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\Mods\
- activate in faf
if you are bored getting a random clan icon, create (create_dds_1024.xcf, setup.txt) and share your own decals
