Advanced shields, though they are not used by the AI so it kinda gives you an advantage, unless the game settings are challenging, in which case building the first shield and providing power requirements for it is quite difficult
Blackops:Unleashed, because it brings in a small number of very well made and balanced units.
Total Mayhem is fun, however some of their units (specially turrets) are greatly overpowered, for the price.
better reclaim view - highly recommend that one :)

It can autogenerate AI markers on almost (95%) of all 5x5 and 10x10 maps.

I would also recommend the mod "Nuclear Repoulsor Shields" in case you want to play turtle style to defend your base.
Also a good idea to let the AI build a paragon or paragon like building. The mod "Quantum Resource Generators" provides paragon like buildings to all factions.
Last but not least, in case you don't want to reclaim by yourself, use the "Ninja reclaim drone" mod.

In case you want mor units, try the Total Mayhem mod. All units can also be used from my AI.
