I'm sorry V but your argument that others should rise to the challenge is bullshit as you leave the lobby as soon as its even close to not being stacked in your favor.
See you're confusing not wanting to play with players that >>I<< consider incapable with wanting to stack. When I am about to play some serious quality players, I want to be able to focus on my opponent without having in mind constantly that I will have to babysit my teammate. See if I play with galac, one of the HBE, tnuk or this type of players, I know I don't have to look at their side for a while cause they know what to do and when, but most importantly what NOT to do. Then they can lose or win, it's just the game. I don't know, maybe the difference is too subtle.
But it's alright. I have no intention of making you see the truth, I don't care much.
The discussion is not about or you, but about smurfing in general. It's true that I may have turned my reply into something personal because :
- I gave reasons why I would want to not reveal my identity, from my PERSONAL experience and the shit I had to deal with
- I reminded that you smurfed and for quite some time, and that what you actually say is bad, you do it , or did it yourself. So I find this entertaining
I should refrain myself from doing this here. People already know the hypocrisies lying around anyway.
I agree people should play players better than them and we all do it, but the fact is way back when I avoided your lobby because it was just a pointless bash every game, I know you like that right??
Maybe you're not just up to this kind of games ? I wonder why.
FYI, I played 4 games in 2 days. I lost 3, and lost overall 70 points. How is that for stacking ?
I play a range of games now, sometimes with noobs and I try to help them learn others with better players later on the day/evening. diversity is the key, I can accept being bashed if it is my choice to take on a challenge, but that is not the issue here.
Overall, trust me I've been bashed way way more times than you ever did.
For the record, you were a much better guy to play with or against when you were beginner and was really interested in learning. Remember we used to play often together, and even when you fucked it up in my team, there was no real harsh feeling, maybe some words, but no biggie.
Now that you got a bit better, you grew up a too big ego (and I know my share for ego haha) for your skills and can't handle defeat very well. And coincidentally, this is close to when you stopped improving. I'm very sad of this cause having new players to challenge is really really interesting. According to me, THAT is what makes the game live on, not some changes about the units. Renewing challenges, that's the deal baby yeah
Game wise, I looked up to the guys like dim, lappen, white, and a lot others who left. Now I can definitely compete with them. I let you think a bit about that when you chill off
Anyway, WE are not the subject here, moving on ?
Smurfing is for those that want to deceive
OR running away from specific players, or certain quality of players because this category just became too annoying to play with, and i'm talking about the attitude in lobby here, not in game, nor am I talking about level.
OR also to start a game in a few mins instead of having a usual political G8 to balance the game that usually takes a long time.
I think I can say I had my share of games from the GPGnet times, and for YEARS, people joined, x in and then played. Now , and since the end of GPGnet, you know that you will have to fill the game, then you know the balance talk will occur like a mandatory thing. I am sorry but this bores me off so much. This is yet another reason for one player to want to hide the identity.
Stop playing the victim, crying about those ugly fat smurfs of great players who are there only to abuse noobs. Well sorry but that ain't true.
in the beginning of FAF it wasn't really a problem a few people with a second account to chill was fine, and people accepted that hell I even had one back in the GPG days as you know.
What I read here, is, when you judged it was alright, it was ok for people , you included(the author of this very topic) to do it. But then you got annoyed too many times ,'cause you got some challenge from someone you expected to be noob.
So you decided to ring the bell, and cry to the world, because you had enough. Well and I thought I was the one with a huge ego
As for balance, i'm for random all the way makes the game more exciting not knowing what position you will be and who you will play, ive always really enjoyed it.
Well have you really seen so many good players who are not keen on random ? I haven't.
The cases where those players including myself refuse to play random is because players level is too different considering the spots they could end in. And you know this perfectly well.
I would really much like to play random most of the time. If only players were capable of playing our map well enough and on any spots.
If we are to speak of the setons junkies. There is clearly a difference of level between how it used to be and the situation on FAF. We really had some rising stars on GPGnet, people who leveled up so fast it was scary, but THRILLING and CHALLENGING.
Here , when was the last time you saw anyone do that ? I didn't play from the beginning to this game, but in 4 years now, I think I am able to tell the difference.
2 big changes happened in this time frame :
- new changing balance
- the word "stacked"/"balance" are more used than ever. How come I didn't know this word stacked for like my first 3 years of FA ? Just a thought ...
I really don't expect smurfing to be allowed, I know it won't. People don't do that to abuse beginners.Statistics: Posted by -_V_- — 25 Sep 2012, 14:20
